FreezeByte Graphics offers the service of "Fade In, Fade Out and Cross Fade" of your files during frame-by-frame output to video.
You can save a lot of money on on-line editing time when your work is prepared properly for output to video. Your files can contain instructions for fade ins, fade outs, and cross fades (dissolves). As the example below shows, a title can be faded in over a specific amount of time, a cross fade between two animations can be directly output during a frame-by-frame recording, and your last credit can be faded out. Fade ins, fade outs and cross fades between animations are not available from every output service - you should inquire first.
Below are the correct instructions for the output of a 20 second animation:
1• Place Background PICT 1 in channel 1. Assign a duration of 6 seconds. Fade In for 1 second. Fade Out for 1 second.
2• Place Title PICT in channel 2. Assign a duration of 4 seconds. Inpoint at frame 61 (2 seconds after start of animation). Fade Out for 1 second.
3• Place PICS Animation 1 in channel 3. Inpoint at frame 151. Fade In for 1 second. Fade Out for 2 seconds.
4• Place PICS Animation 2 in channel 2. Inpoint at frame 331. Fade In for 2 seconds. (PICS Animation 2 could also have been placed in channel 4 - it does not matter, as there is just a cross fade between PICS 1 and PICS 2).
5• Place Background PICT 2 in channel 1. Assign a duration of 4 seconds. Inpoint at frame 481. Fade Out for 2 seconds.
6• Place Credits PICT in channel 3 (could also be in channel 2, right after PICS 2). Assign a duration of 4 seconds. Inpoint at frame 481. Fade Out for 2 seconds.
